Guidelines for Project Work in Economics (Class XI)

The objective of the project work is to enable learners to:

1. Probe deeper into theoretical concepts learnt in classes XI

2. Analyse and evaluate real world economic scenarios using

theoretical constructs and arguments

3. Demonstrate the learning of economic theory

4. Follow up aspects of economics in which learners have interest

5. Develop the communication skills to argue logically

6. The project work will be a mini study to sensitize the students

to inculcate research aptitude.


Note: It is advisable to conduct the project work within the district. The

students may do Field Visits/ Industrial Tours/ Market Visits, etc.

II) Read the extract given below and answer any two of the questions that follow.

" My mother's, that was before i was born,

and the sea, which appears to have changes less,

washed their terribly transient fee."

a) Why does the sea not change?

b) What has changed?

c) Where were the mother and her cousins standing?

III) Short  Answer Type Questions

a) Is it normal that a conversation can take place between a human being and the rain? why/ Why not.

b) Why does the rain say that it is the poem of Earth?

c) How does rain give life to its origin?

d) Explain the eternal process of rain?

e) what does the rain do 'day and night'?

f) The rain changes its form but its content remains the same. Elucidate.

g) What Poetic devices have been used by the poet in this poem?

h) How does the  rain complete its cycle and what  does it do after completing its cycle?

IV) You are a reporter for" the Hindu ".You have been asked to report an accident where a bus  lost control and hit a car killing 3 people. Write the report in 150_200 words .

V) Write a letter to the principal of Your school, asking for long leave due to severe illness.
